A charming bungalow neighborhood, Seminole Heights features many homes that are included on the National Register.

The neighborhood hosts many events and is often in the news. The Preservation Committee hosted national author, Jane Powell in 2004 when she spoke about bungalow kitchens.

The next year, Tampa Preservation, Inc. gave a presentation on how to qualify for their prestigious Preserved banner award.

Then, Jane Powell returned in 2006 to cover the topic of bungalow exteriors.

Our beautiful historic homes are widely admired and receive much attention. An eclectic neighborhood, our artistic residents create wonderfully quirky homes. We also boast an abundance of talented gardeners keeping Seminole Heights shady and fragrant.

Because the commercial corridors have lagged behind the residential areas in being revitalized, we have formed a business group to take on the task of beautifying them. Our actions are based on a plan formulated by a group of residents, business owners and the City of Tampa over a period of three years.

We are pleased that many new high quality businesses are coming to the area, adding to our existing wealth of unique and fascinating shops.
